Over 100 new riders learned to ride a Harley-Davidson for the first time at Africa Bike Week 2013! This is the new Learn-to-Ride academy that H-D will be launching officially soon. We tested the concept at ABW13 and the following are the stats:

• 67 novice riders were on the K53 range
• 45 were pillion riders
• 12 have never been on a bike
• 10 rode a bike years ago
• 88 people had a go on the Jump Start

Just to scotch the rumours, Africa Bike Week is NOT moving, closing... etc. ABW 2014 and ABW 2015 are already in the planning stages and the 4 main sponsors feel there is just no more convenient location than the KZN Sunshine Coast at this time of year!

With some regret I accepted the resignation of Petrus Wasserman due to work commitments but at least not a sense of lost as he will be retained and utilised as a H.O.G volunteer instructor. Thank you again Petrus for all your private time and effort.

It is with great pleasure to announce that Norman Davis has been appointed as Regional Chapter Director.
Norman was the Chapter Director for H.O.G. Pretoria for almost two years during which he demonstrated a great sense of support to our Pretoria Dealership.
