With the expansion of H-D MEA responsibilities towards the rest of Africa, Middle East and South East Europe it became necessary to make a few changes to support our H.O.G and Rider network in the Sub-Saharan Africa market. A key part of this is to establish a structure of volunteers to support you on an ongoing basis.

I am excited to share the following news with you.  After comprehensive thought a decision was made to introduce a new volunteer H.O.G and Rider Services Assistant Manager position in this region.

I am delighted to announce that Luis da Silva has been entrusted with this position. Luis will take up his new responsibilities with immediate effect. His first tasks will be to announce his successor, National Head Road Captain, and fill the position of National Head Safety Officer which was vacant after the passing away of Bram Jeavons.

Another of his many tasks will be to organize our yearly HOT training/meeting in October. Furthermore, he will be instrumental in taking core events to an even higher level.

He has proven through years of tireless commitment to be one our most experienced, knowledgeable and dedicated volunteers in the arena of H.O.G.  I also have faith in his interpersonal skills which will be invaluable in processes of negotiation and collaboration that will be a core part of his work.

Please join me in congratulating him in his new role.

Best regards

Martin Engelbrecht
