Luis da Silva, H.O.G. SA National Head Road Captain, was invited by H-D Egypt and the H.O.G. Cairo Chapter to travel to Cairo, Egypt and present the H.O.G. Pack Rider Training as well as the H.O.G. Skilled Rider training to some 54 members of that Chapter.
Between 24 July - 03 August 2010 the HOG Breede River Chapter will be undertaking a promotional tour for the West Coast Rally. We will leave from Cape Town, driving along the garden route to Middelburg and then along Lesotho to Durban. From Durban we will ride up towards Nelspruit, Pretoria, Johannesburg and then Bloemfontein and back to Cape Town.

Despite the stormy weather, both Cape Town Chapters turned out in force to support the K.I.D.S. Ride. Most members decided to brave the wind and rain and met at the car park in Sea Point for the police escorted ride to The Paddocks and Dales where they were met by many other members that came through by car.
After donating our blankets and receiving the 2010 pin, we settled down to a eat as much as you can buffet breakfast. Great turn-out, the weather cleared just as took to the road and great breakfast!
Participation in the event was organised by H.O.G. and Rotary with a blanket per particpant going to the needy children this winter. Rotary assists with this fund raising effort and distributes the blankets to numerous shelters and homes in the various areas.
