Description Safe Rider Skills Programme

At the Harley Owners Group®, safe riding is a top priority. So, to encourage all our members to ride as skillfully and safely as possible, we offer a pin and patch featuring the "Safe Rider Skills" logo for the successful completion of an accredited Motorcycle Safety rider training course, or Harley-Davidson Rider's Edge® course.

As a further incentive, H.O.G. chapters with at least 12 members completing a course in a single calendar year will receive special recognition: a Safe Rider Skills plaque.

Official 2010 guidelines:

1. You must be a current H.O.G.® member on the date the course began.

2. You must send the proper proof of the completion date of the safety course you took within three months of completing the safety course.

3. Limited to recognition for one safety course per member annually.

4. Pin and patch can be obtained by submitting a completed form with a copy of the safety course certificate indicating successful completion of the course. Forms may be obtained by calling H.O.G.® Member Services Centre (see telephone and address directory) or can be downloaded from members.hog.com.

5. After a minimum of 12 members from one chapter pass an accredited rider training course and have submitted their individual certificates to H.O.G.®, a laser-engraved Safe Rider Skills Chapter Plaque will be sent to the sponsoring dealer.
